A Pocket History Of Brunches

Brunches began trading in Deer Walk, Central Milton Keynes in May 1985. The concept of having your sandwich order custom made, caught on very quickly. Brunches was a pioneer launching its service before some high profile London based Brands such as Prêt A Manger. 

After the first 12 months, the ‘Delivery Service Division' was launched eventually moving to a custom fitted kitchen in Crownhill Industrial Area near central Milton Keynes,  supported by a fleet of refrigerated delivery vehicles and a computer assisted administration system to support growth.  

The delivery menu also expanded to include full finger buffets and a wider range of dessert and savoury platters and dedicated customer service staff were employed.

Brunches celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2010, a period in which the landscape of the food service industry had changed significantly with Brunches leading the way in customer service innovation.  

With 2012 comes the introduction of online ordering, enhanced kitchen management and new food service offers provided in association with Directochef™, a leader in online catering. These improvements will help ensure that we are still at the leading edge of foodservice for another 25 years.
